Terms of Service

Welcome to Linetto Books, operated by Subway Labs of NYC, Inc. ("we", "us"). By using the service or placing an order you agree to these terms. Please read the representations in the "Your photos" section carefully — they are important.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Linetto Books. The service is intended for adults buying coloring books (including as gifts).

2. Your photos & your representations

When you upload a photo, you represent and warrant that:

• You own or have all rights and permissions needed to upload and use the photo, including the right to have it edited into a coloring page.
• For any person who appears in the photo, you have that person's explicit consent; and for any child pictured, you are the parent or legal guardian, or you have the parent/guardian's explicit consent.
• The photo is not a professional, school, or studio photograph (or other third-party-copyrighted image) unless you hold the copyright or have the photographer's written permission. Professional portraits are typically owned by the photographer, not the subject.
• The photo is lawful and does not infringe anyone's rights.

You confirm these at upload. We rely on these representations and our AI providers require that images of real individuals are only edited with their consent. You are responsible for the content you upload.

3. How we create your book (AI)

To make your coloring pages, your uploaded photos are sent to our AI image provider (currently Google's Gemini image models; optionally OpenAI) and transformed into line art. You grant us a limited license to process your uploads solely to create your book and fulfill your order. We do not use your images for advertising or to train AI models.

Occasionally a photo cannot be converted (for example, our AI provider may decline certain images). If that happens we'll ask you to try a different photo.

4. Preview & approval

Before any book is printed, you will preview it and click "Approve & print." Your approval authorizes us to print and ship that book as shown. Please review your preview carefully — printing begins after approval.

5. Pricing & payment

Prices are shown at checkout in USD and processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your full card number. New accounts receive their first 10 PDF downloads free. Applicable sales tax may be added.

6. Shipping & delivery

• Printed books are produced on demand and shipped within the United States only.
• We ship within the time stated at checkout (and, where no time is stated, within 30 days), consistent with the FTC Mail Order Rule. If we can't, we'll notify you and offer a refund.
• Holiday dates are estimates, not guarantees. "Order by [date] for estimated Christmas delivery" depends on the carrier; we can't guarantee a specific arrival date.

7. Refunds

• Before printing: full refund on request.
• Print defects / damage: contact us within 14 days of delivery for a free reprint or a refund.
• After you approved the preview: we do not refund simply because you changed your mind about an approved design.
• Digital PDFs are generally non-refundable once downloaded — but reach out if something went wrong and we'll make it right.

8. What we don't guarantee

We do not guarantee that a generated drawing will resemble any particular person, that every photo can be processed, or that an order will arrive by a specific date. We do promise a preview before printing and a reprint or refund if your printed book arrives defective.

9. Acceptable use

Don't upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, or use the service to create it. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order in question.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States.
